Gustie Soccer Preseason is in full swing!!
It's that wonderful time of year again! A time where the days are long, practices are numerous, drills are hard, and it is all about soccer! The Gustie's have been hard at work, training three times daily since the start of preseason on August 17th. With three-a-days just ending today, daily practices will be held twice a day for the next week and a half for the ladies to hone in their soccer skills and start working together as a team. Practices have varied from 1v1 work, to 9v9 scrimmages and everything in between. With a core of returners; including Seniors Nikki Carlson, Kristin Moen, Tam Meuwissen, Maggie Lane and Jess Richert, the women's soccer team is looking strong for the fall. The team is adapting to a faster speed of play and looking to connect with one another to find what the girls are calling, the "Gustie Tempo". While the sore muscles are plentiful, the smiles and happiness to be back on the field preparing for the fall season are abundant as well!
