Player of the Week: Ana Gleason (10/7-10/12)

A Fierce Competitor

Ana is a tough as nails, stingy center back who won't let you turn, annoys the heck out of forwards and is a force in the back line.  You wouldn't know it from her soft demeanor and quiet nature off the field though.  A nursing major, she is learning to help and heal, but on the field, she can often be the one inflicting pain.

Just when a forward thinks they've outsmarted her and gotten in behind, there's Ana on her heels, working twice as hard, going in and picking the forwards' pocket and stealing the ball to thwart the attack.  She works just as hard at practice as she does in games, pushing her teammates to be better, because she plays soccer by the motto, "practice how you play".

A senior and model teammate, Ana worked her tail off all week in practice and it showed in her heart, soul and willingness to do whatever it took in the St. Thomas game on Saturday.

Congratulations Ana!
